In conjunction with the launch of a new menu item, the Smokehouse Brisket, Arby’s has launched a social loyalty program to promote their foodie fans to tout the chain and its menu.
Enabled by PunchTab, Arby’s encourages customers to upload purchase receipts, check-in at Arby’s locations, take online quizzes, as well as to Tweet, Like and complete online challenges.
It is great to see this digital omnichannel approach to building customer engagement, but were disappointed to go to the Arby’s Join the League of Brisket webpage only to find a message “Coming Soon”. The campaign is said to run between September 29- October 30, 2013, so Arby’s should be in full swing by now.
It is also interesting to see that points can be earned through many of these digital interactions, while the rewards that can be swapped for points are difficult to find on the site.
